Burn survivors often carry invisible scars from trauma. This blog introduces three proven therapies that can help with emotional healing: EMDR, which reprocesses painful memories using guided eye movements; Prolonged Exposure Therapy, which helps survivors safely confront trauma triggers; and Cognitive Processing Therapy, which challenges harmful beliefs and reframes self-worth. Each approach offers a path to peace and resilience. Healing Home Group is here to remind survivors: you've made it through the fire — now let's heal together. ??

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) uses 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber to boost healing — especially helpful for burn survivors. It reduces inflammation, speeds up wound healing, fights infection, and eases nerve pain. Corey experienced major relief in his legs from HBOT, and many others report feeling stronger and more energized after treatment. At Healing Home Group, we believe healing goes beyond the hospital. From that painful experience, Healing Home Group was born: a nonprofit dedicated to creating transitional housing and emotional support for burn survivors after hospital discharge. The first home will open in Colorado, with long-term plans to expand nationwide. Healing Home Group offers more than shelter—it offers dignity, hope, and a place to rest, rebuild, and rise.
